The International Festival of Santander and Cantabria is still in the street

30/07/09.- Some streets in Santander and Torrelavega will have the privilege, for a number of days of becoming the stage of the ?Sinffin Danza? Company, whose direction and choreography is the responsibility of Sylvia Gonzaléz Sueiro.


The ?Sinffin Danza? Company with a contemporary outlook, has worked on stage, performed choreographies, artistic performances and street dance since 2003. Among its works we find Coney Island Baby, Passing Silence, Concert 2007, Cabecita Loca, Viaje al Portal and productions such as Density, Oil and Stone. In the region of Cantabria, the company will present ?Staccato Danzante? , a contemporary dance show with the street as its stage. The audience is the central actor and the story tells us how normal people, going about their daily lives, are able to slip into a parallel world and to undergo a transformation of unknown and pleasant sensations, when they come into contact with art, culture and their beautiful city. This transformation is directed and directly linked to the start of the Santander International Festival and to boost the city?s drive to becoming European Capital of Culture in 2016.

The show can be seen today, Thursday 30 July, for the last time in the Plaza Porticada, Santander with 2 perfomances, at 18.00 and 20.00. The last day the performance will be on Friday 31 July in the Plaza Baldomero Iglesias, Torrelavega at 18.00 and at 20.00.
